How to make the most out of Super bowl Sunday sans football:
1. Pick Up an Extra Shift at Work: Super Bowl Sunday is the perfect opportunity to make some extra cash by filling in for a game-watching co-worker.
2. Head to the Mall: While the mall is usually a zoo on the weekends, Super Bowl Sunday is like a shopper's dream. Plenty of parking, no waiting for dressing rooms and no competition at the clearance racks.
3. Empty Machines: If you usually avoid the gym at the weekends due to lines at the machines-Super Bowl Sunday is your no-excuse day! Head over to the gym and get a nice workout in-free of standing in line for the elliptical.
4. Make that Reservation: Go head and try to get into that trendy restaurant you have been trying to get a reservation for forever-with many people occupied by the big event, you will have your pick of tables.

Are You Ready For Some Football?
With Superbowl 2014 just over a week away, it's time to start thinking about party food! Below is a recipe from Food&Wine.com from chef Rick Bayless and it would make a delicious appetizer for your football get together!
Bayless's Queso Fundido Al Tequila
Ingredients
1/4 cup coarsely chopped cilantro
1/2 pound Monterrey Jack cheese, shredded (about 3 cups)
1 small onion, cut into 1/4 inch dice
3 tablespoons of tequila
Kosher salt
2 medium tomatoes, cored, seeded, and cut into 1/4 inch dice
2 Jalapenos, seeded and minced
1 tablespoon, extra virgin olive oil
warm corn tortillas or corn chips for serving
Directions
1. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil. Add the diced tomatoes, minced Jalapenos, diced onion and a large pinch of salt and cook over moderately high heat, stirring often, until softened, about 5 minutes. Pour in the tequila and cook, stirring frequently, until the skillet looks nearly dry, about 2 minutes.
2. Reduce the heat to low. Add the cheese and cook, stirring constantly, until fully melted, about 30 seconds. Quickly transfer the queso fundido to a serving bowl. Sprinkle with the cilantro and serve immediately with tortillas or chips.
Enjoy!
